Flag position [RESOLVED]

Post by Remmy » Fri Jun 20, 2008 9:17 am

I have a smaal problem with Flagfox version 3.2.6: I changed the position of the flag in de Options menu, so that it is at the right hand side of the statusbar. Problem is, every time I restart Firefox, the flag is back in it's old position (at the left hand side somewhere between some other icons). The option is still set to 'Far right' when I look in options. I can change the flag to the right hand side by toggling the option in the options menu and then pressing OK again.

I don't know how this works, but is it possible that this happens because Flagfox is loaded before some of the other add-ons and therefore places it's own 'icon' earlier in the statusbar?

I'm using Firefox 3.0, and the other add-ons using the statusbar are: Google Notbook, ForecastFox and IE-tabs.

Most icons are just positioned in the XUL, however because Flagfox can be moved around I also have to set things based on the preference after things are loaded. (on Flagfox startup) If somebody else also does this and jumps around after Flagfox, then there's not much it can do about it. (i.e. the last one to move wins) If the other icons were only being placed in normally then Flagfox should be able to always go where it's told.

Not sure how to fix this...
Please disable those 3 add-ons one at a time and see who is twitchy.

OK DaveG! Thanks for the tip, it turned out ForecastFox was the 'culprit', well, it was more my fault, there seems to be an option in ForeCastfox where you can actually tell it to put itself as 'last' in the statusbar, and this was turned on. Disabled it and voilá... flag moved over to the right. Thanks very much for your help!
