Thanks for a great tool. I don't know all the flags to recognise, so I would like an option to show the name of the country (in English). Is this possible?
Thnx.
Country text please
Re: Country text please
Hi pszilard,
This is already possible: If you hover your mouse over the flag you should get a tooltip which gives the country name.
For example, if you're on the BBC news website and move your mouse to the flag the tooltip will say:
news.bbc.co.uk (212.58.226.20) is in United Kingdom

In fact, for the 237 countries listed in our database, we have a complete set of localizations of their names into all 23 currently supported languages. (not to mention other locations and GUI strings) A while back I even added a sample of various locale's tooltips to the set of preview images on AMO, if you'd like to check that out.
Additionally, if you goto Flagfox options, then select "Preview Icons', it'll give you a grid of all available country flags, each of which you may hover over to get a tooltip of the country's name translated into the current browser language.
