a better translation [FIXED]

Post by Hypocras » Fri Feb 22, 2008 4:28 pm

Hello,
I really appreciate Flagfox as a must-have gadget but when I click on the flag, I've noticed a bad translation.
I think one should translate "local time" into "heure locale" which is more appropriate.

Thanks for the great job you do everyday to keep it up-to-date.

Hi,

Thanks for your comments about Flagfox. :D

About the translation, I assume (from your IP address) that you are talking about the French locale. Is that correct?

Currently "local time" is translated to "Temps local" for this locale. My French is very poor so I wouldn't know which is better. I'll ask our official French translator on Babel to comment.

Yes it is. Thanks for the reply.
I am a French-speaking person from France and it does not sound fluently and French to say "temps local".
Anyway, there are many things much more important than an improved translation for a browser add-on.

Have a nice day.

Salut,
Hypocras

Hi Hypocras,

Our French translator has agreed with your suggestion, so I've just changed the website to say Heure locale now :D

Richard

Salut Richard,

I have just seen it on the Geotool page.
I do not mind surfing the web in English but prefer to do so in French.

Thank you anyway.

Hypocras
