Re: Suggestion on Flag for Asia/Pacific Region

ok. I suggest the APEC flag. ;) ::sigh:: Ok, anyone horribly against this? I do agree that having text in the flag is out of tune with the rest of the flag sets. This may not be that recognizable, but it may be a decent compromise. So, final opinions. Do we like " 亚太 " or do we want a tiny vers...

Re: Suggestion on Flag for Asia/Pacific Region

Each locale has it's own localization of the name in countrynames.properties that shows in the tooltip, however I'm only going to have one icon for everyone.

Re: Suggestion on Flag for Asia/Pacific Region

Ok, I've asked some others to comment. I'll just quote their suggestions here real quick. drry (ja-JP translator) likes "AP". fiag (zh-CN translator) likes "亚太". Marco (flags artist) suggested the APEC flag. With the posting of ttakiol (zh-TW translator) above, I guess we're slightly in favor of...

Re: I received a message to click OK or Report here I am

This is an odd one... I would also like to know what setting you have for opening links in Flagfox's options. (i.e. new tab in foreground, current tab, new window, etc.) In fact, I just now edited that sticky and stuck a sentence for this into #2 for future use. The Flagfox error happens when ever ...

Re: Suggestion on Flag for Asia/Pacific Region

The short for Asia/Pacific Region in Chinese is "亚太" Problem with that is it may not be meaningful in both Chinese and Japanese. (again, BabelFish assisted here) Another idea might be "海洋", just generic "ocean"/"sea". One other problem is that while "日本" may not be the best description,...

Re: status bar vs navigation toolbar

Yes, this does sound like a good idea. Allowing it to be put up in the toolbar would take a little bit of work, but I don't think it'd be too complicated to do. (no hacks available right now, sorry) I will definitely consider adding this ability for a future version.

Re: Suggestion on Flag for Asia/Pacific Region

Yes, I know. Do you have a suggestion? Maybe "太平洋" (Pacific Ocean) would be better, but I don't think it'd fit in the tiny space. (pardon my kanji if it's wrong; 'tis BabelFish assisted) If there was a decent flag to use that would be best, but I don't know of one.

Re: I received a message to click OK or Report here I am

This is an odd one... My initial guess is that it's a weird extension conflict. Seeing as obviously the other 130,000 people who use Flagfox each day aren't getting this in large numbers, I'm going to need you to provide more info on how you're getting it. In addition to Richard's suggestion to foll...

Re: Source

It's not hidden or anything. You just have to know how to get at it. ;) In fact, with the exception of binary blobs in some larger extensions, you can root around in the code of most add-ons rather easily. If and only if you have Flagfox installed, you can dump any of the following lines into your a...

Re: Source

We're not closed source. Everything is written in JavaScript, so feel free to poke around in the code all you want. XPIs are just glorified ZIPs, with a JAR (i.e. another ZIP) inside. There's already a couple mods out there. (someone made a Seamonkey port at some point) Flagfox has no license at thi...
