Re: Wrong Flag Location-Please fix!
I presume that you have used the Maxmind GeoIP Demo page to determine that the database is now 'correct'. Please be aware though that the results given on this page are generated from the commercial GeoIP City database, whereas Flagfox uses the free GeoLite Country database. There is no guarantee th...

Re: Flagfox and Geotool differ. Both are wrong>
http://www.edp24.co.uk Is hosted (according to their webmaster) by Global Crossing on servers in Holland. Flagfox shows a US flag, Geotool shows UK. If both use the same database why are they showing different results? Why are they both wrong? There is a similar thread but it seems to have turned i...

Re: UK is no longer in Europe? [FIXED]
P.S.: I couldn't for the life of me log into the forum using Firefox 3.5.5. I would log in successfully (e.g. in the postings list it would show my username in square brackets) and then when I clicked on a new page (e.g. the post itself) it would show me logged out again. Clearing cookies and resta...

Re: problems when using IE Tab
As to the popups issue, I just tried the first example with this page (which was the subject of another thread here). With just Coral IE Tab 1.63.20081024 enabled, in a new profile in Firefox 3.6 under Windows XP SP3, I get a popup normally and a new blank tab when using IE rendering. The popup iss...

Re: UK is no longer in Europe?
Here's one that exhibits the problem for me: http://www.direct.gov.uk/en/TravelAndTransport/Passports/howlongittakesandurgentappplications/DG_174149 Incidentally, does this mean the UK government is hosting one of its DirectGov servers with a non-UK hosting provider? This is another one that won't ...

Re: UK is no longer in Europe?
Actually, you could still use this example. Just go to the IP address of the European hosted site: http://88.221.162.43. Doesn't show any sensible content, but shows the issue.

Re: UK is no longer in Europe?
Ah - didn't realise they used cache servers. I don't know of any other examples.DaveG wrote: No good for me due to cache servers.

Re: Flagfox shows Linode's London VPS' IPs USA
Flagfox (and the affiliated Geotool website) uses an internal IP location database that is provided by Maxmind . We have no control over the contents of this database. So if you are sure that this is an error you could consider contacting Maxmind directly ( Contact Details ) to ask them to update th...
