Re: Github showing Australia flag, click-through shows US

That can happen. It probably has something to do with cache servers - see the two sections under https://flagfox.wordpress.com/faq/#wrongflag. Occasionally, the databases that Flagfox and Geotool use can differ, resulting in differing results. The Geotool database is more detailed, as it has city le...

These sites are probably using cache servers.

Re: DNS64 (rfc6147) support on the Flagfox Geotool website

Hi,

Thanks for bringing this to my attention. Not a scenario I had considered before.

I have made a small change to the website, that should deal with this situation. Hopefully without breaking anything else ;)

Re: Google map not displaying on iplookup webpage; time for alternative?

I have now been able to recreate this issue with several referer blocking add-ons avaiable for Firefox (such as Smart Referer).

I have made an adjustment to how the authentication works which may help in some cases.

Re: Google map not displaying on iplookup webpage; time for alternative?

Thanks for your post. I've had one other report of this happening, but have been unable to reproduce this issue. I can also see in the Google Map API dashboard that the vast majority of requests are working but slightly less than 1% are failing with a 4xx error. Which suggests some kind of authentic...

Re: Flagge = USA, Land = China ??

Thanks for reporting this. The IP to country database update process was broken so the data was out of date. This has now been updated, and website is now shown to be in the USA for both Flagfox and the Geotool website.

Re: Accidentally Disabled Flag Appearing in Address Bar

If you click on the three dots to the right of the URL bar, then right click on the menu item that shows a flag and begins "Domain Name:" you should see an option to add it back.

Re: Change Google Maps to OpenStreetMap

I have looked at using OpenStreetMaps on the Geotool site in the past, and it is certainly possible. I haven't decided whether this is something I want to do, or indeed have time to do but it is on the list of possibles. Just a note to say that the Google Maps implementation on the website does not ...

Re: Flagfox 6.0 Beta 3

I want the info to all be shown together, in the proper context. It's always been in there and I don't intend to remove it. Also, if you navigate to an internationalized domain name, the address bar will show the address in whatever native text is needed for the language, and the Flagfox tooltip wi...
