Re: Flagge = USA, Land = China ??
Thanks for reporting this. The IP to country database update process was broken so the data was out of date. This has now been updated, and website is now shown to be in the USA for both Flagfox and the Geotool website.

Re: Accidentally Disabled Flag Appearing in Address Bar
If you click on the three dots to the right of the URL bar, then right click on the menu item that shows a flag and begins "Domain Name:" you should see an option to add it back.

Re: Change Google Maps to OpenStreetMap
I have looked at using OpenStreetMaps on the Geotool site in the past, and it is certainly possible. I haven't decided whether this is something I want to do, or indeed have time to do but it is on the list of possibles. Just a note to say that the Google Maps implementation on the website does not ...

Re: Flagfox 6.0 Beta 3
I want the info to all be shown together, in the proper context. It's always been in there and I don't intend to remove it. Also, if you navigate to an internationalized domain name, the address bar will show the address in whatever native text is needed for the language, and the Flagfox tooltip wi...

Re: Flagfox prefs persistence problem running in Waterfox
Just to let you know someboday contacted me directly a couple of weeks ago who was seeing this same problem. We didn't want to disturb you with this issue, as I don't think you were feeling at your best at the time! Anyway, we got as far as determining that he was uisng Firefox 56.0.2 (64 bits), and...

Re: Update flagfox
See https://flagfox.net/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=674&start=10#p2147 for a link to a blog for info, and the rest of that thread for some further updates. Or to sumarise, a release for Firefox 57 is in progress, but the one developer that is working on this is ill, so it's running behind schedule. And it's...

Re: FlagFox and Firefox WebExtensions
It's not gone for good - the WebExtensions compatible release is just running a bit late.

Re: Virus Scan broken, and Check Server Status issue
Looking at it a bit closer looks like it's checking http://geoip.flagfox.net rather than https://flagfox.net. Is that an old redirect perhaps? Yes, that doesn't look right, and yes http://geoip.flagfox.net was an old URL that was abandoned about 2 years ago when the site was hit by a large DDoS fro...

Re: Unknown site ? flag
The City level Maxmind database used by the Geotool website was updated yesterday, and it looks like the entries for Cloudflare have been added back in. Which is odd as according to their release notes mentioned in a post above Maxmind were planning on removing them. I'm sure Dave will be releasing ...

Re: Unknown site ? flag
It looks like this is a permanent change, as the removal of CloudFlare networks from the Maxmind databases was mentioned a while ago in the GeoIP2 Release Notes.
